Our story

We dropped the ash.

Tap opened as a wine and cigar bar called Tap That Ash. The smoke kept people from ever walking in — and with fifteen other LGBTQ bars inside a two-block radius, blending in was never going to work.

So we tore it up. Full liquor license. A bigger bar. A real stage with proper sound. And a standing invitation to every singer, host and queen in Wilton Manors.

Now something happens here every night of the week — and the smoke is somebody else’s problem.

No strangers behind the bar

The staff

The performers have their own pages. This one's for the people who actually run the place — the ones who know your drink before you sit down.

House rules, such as they are

What we stand for

Everybody's welcome
Gay, straight, in between or none of the above. If you are decent to people here, you belong here.
No cover, ever
Seven nights of entertainment and not one of them costs you anything at the door.
Non-smoking on purpose
We were a cigar bar once. We know exactly what the smoke was costing us, and it was not worth it.
The stage stays open
Singers, hosts and queens in Wilton Manors have a standing invitation. Come use it.

Work here

Think you'd fit behind this bar?
We hire for temperament first. If you can keep a room happy on a Saturday and still count a drawer at 3 AM, come talk to us.
